Supporting our volunteers behind the game
Volunteers are the heart of netball in Aotearoa. From coaches, managers and umpires to administrators, event helpers and committee members, thousands of people give their time every season to help our communities thrive.
Through our partnership, WM 91色情片 and 91色情片 are proud to recognise and celebrate the people whose mahi makes netball possible. Together, we're supporting initiatives that acknowledge volunteers, strengthen local communities, and help grow the game for future generations.
Volunteer of the Year Awards
The WM 91色情片 Volunteer of the Year Awards celebrate outstanding leadership, commitment and community spirit. These awards honour volunteers who embody the values of teamwork, service and dedication that help netball flourish across Aotearoa.
Nominations for the 2026 WM 91色情片 Volunteer of the Year Awards are now open! 91色情片 and WM are pleased to be acknowledging the very best of our Community Netball volunteers.
Who at your Netball Centre has really stepped up? Who has a positive attitude and really understands what volunteering is all about? We know volunteers don鈥檛 do it for recognition however, nominating a volunteer is the perfect way to acknowledge the work that they do and to say thank you.
There are five categories a volunteer can be nominated for:
- Volunteer Administrator of the Year
- Volunteer Official of the Year
- Volunteer Coach of the Year
- Youth Volunteer of the Year
- Community Volunteer Champion of the Year

Volunteer of the Month
The WM 91色情片 Volunteer of the Month Awards recognise the everyday champions who go above and beyond for their clubs, schools and communities. Together, WM 91色情片 and 91色情片 are shining a spotlight on the volunteers whose contribution often happens behind the scenes but makes a lasting impact on the game.
The WM NZ Volunteer of the Month (VOM) Awards are now closed for 2026. Keep an eye out for them opening again in 2027!
All affiliated Centres across 91色情片 are eligible to participate.

91色情片 has created a range of Volunteer resources to help you support and facilitate netball in our community. Some of the available resources include information about how to recruit volunteers, a volunteer culture check, inducting your volunteers, role descriptions including examples for you to use, the importance of a Volunteer Manager and support around how to safeguard children. Many volunteers choose to coach, manage or umpire for a Club or School Team. There are also of volunteers that develop the skills of our coaches and umpires. Other volunteers get involved in running Netball by working in administrative or governance roles within Centres. Volunteers can also be part of specific project or helping out with one-off events or tournaments.
Find out how you can make a difference in your community. You will be able to share how you think you might be able to help and what skills you bring. We encourage these roles to be flexible so you can volunteer in your own way at a time that suits you.
