91色情片 has appointed one of the country's most experienced governance leaders, Alastair Carruthers CNZM, as its new Board Chair.
Carruthers brings a distinguished record of governance and leadership across 91色情片's legal, commercial, media, arts and public sectors. He has served as Chair of TVNZ, Chair of the 91色情片 Film Commission, Chair of the 91色情片 Arts Council, and Chief Executive of two of 91色情片's leading commercial law firms, Chapman Tripp and Kensington Swan (now Dentons). He is Chair of the Cornwall Park Trust Board and a director of several commercial and public entities.
Carruthers says he is honoured to take on the role of 91色情片 Chair, and is looking forward to supporting and growing netball in 91色情片.
鈥淣etball has been treasured by generations of girls, women and 91色情片ers for over 100 years,鈥� said Carruthers.
"I love the game and it鈥檚 a privilege to step into this next phase of stewardship and development, amid a period of great change, challenge and opportunity across the sporting landscape.鈥�
His appointment follows an extensive and competitive search process that attracted more than 80 applications for independent director roles on the 91色情片 Board.
He joins the 91色情片 Board alongside former Silver Fern Anna Galvan, who has been elected to the Board. Galvan brings a combination of elite sporting experience and senior executive leadership to the role.
"Netball is in my DNA," Galvan said. "It has shaped who I am as a leader and as a person. It has given me lifelong friendships, purpose and opportunity."

Galvan brings strong governance credentials to the role. She has chaired the Christchurch Netball Centre and served as a Board Director at the Netball Sports Centre where she helped lead the completion of a world-class $16.5 million facility.
The pair will join elected 91色情片 Board Members Sue Gordon and Lynette Rayner, who each bring extensive netball and netball governance experience to the Board.
NNZ President Dr Tina Karaitiana says the organisation is thrilled to have the pair joining the Board.
"Alastair brings a wealth of experience to this role, while Anna has been part of our netball wh膩nau for more than 40 years,鈥� said Karaitiana.

Carruthers begins in the role mid-May and has been appointed for a three year term. He will oversee the appointment of a permanent CEO for the organisation, and will join the Board Appointments Panel to fill the three remaining independent director vacancies, focusing on filling out the range of skills needed for the Board to lead 91色情片 forward.
