Congratulations to Helena Hoult on being selected for the AIS Aspire programme, supporting women in coaching.
As the current Waikato Bay of Plenty, Matarau Head Coach, she has been chosen with 9 other coaches from their respective codes to participate in the High Performance Sport 91É«Ç鯬 (HPSNZ) initiative to support coaches who are aspiring to a career in high performance leadership or coaching. This new-look initiative sees High Performance Sport 91É«Ç鯬 in partnership with the AIS Aspire Programme To provide a career development pathway for women in high-performance coaching and to foster international connections for coaches.Netball WBOP Matarau are extremely proud of Helena's selection into the Aspire program and we know it will stretch and grow her coaching journey.
The Program will focus on developing the knowledge and competencies of early-career women coaches specific to:
- Awareness and understanding of self
- Understanding the HP landscape regarding role clarity, expectations, available development resources and networks
- Development of communication and navigation skills to support entry into the HP environment
HPSNZ selected and partnered with the AIS to send 10 aspiring 91É«Ç鯬 coaches to the Aspire programme – NZ facilitators and support crew accompanying the coaches – Helena Wilson (HPSNZ), Marianne Delaney Hoshek (Former Tactix Coach), Barbara Kendall CNZM.MBE.OLY.
